Day 5

Today I took Piper for my 4 mile walk... but somewhere along the last 1/4 mile she hurt one of her paws and limped all the way back. She's such a trouper, didn't give up. She took a long nap and seems to be OK now. But I'm keeping an eye on it, I think she may have just stepped on something. She loves a good scratch on the head from me, I think it made her feel better today.

Here is my first shot... taken with my N95 Cell Phone Camera. I was not to happy with the way it came out, so I decided to go B&W and play with the contrast. I like it. Funny thing about this shot is that the ear in view is in so much pain. I am in a wedding in a few weeks and I received jewelry to wear as a gift. I had not worn earrings in so long that my holes had almost closed up.... After a few painful pushes the holes opened... now I have to suffer through a few days of pain while they heal. But here it is.... Day 1 portrait.

A Portrait A Day

Following along with my tag line... "Up close and portrait" I've come up with a new photography project. For the next month I will take and post one portrait of myself, each and every day. I would like to do every day for a year, but with my track record... lets see if I can make it through the first month, then go from there.

This will be a collection of random images/portraits of myself, either staged or not, up close or far away... but it will be a portrait of my self or something representing my life each day of the month. I may not get to post EVERY day, but I will have a photo for every day posted.

Lets see where this new adventure goes.....
